MPB Today Review - MPB Today, Free Groceries For Spreading The Word? Networker Dream or Nightmare?

MPB Today
MPB Today, hum…. we just can’t seem to get enough of these MLM matrix compensations plans can we. Well the latest but not necessarily the greatest wave maker in the MLM industry is a company called MPB Today (mbptoday.com), who is trying to convince Network Marketing hopefuls that groceries are the greatest product ever conceived of for the Network Marketing industry. Groceries? Well not an exciting product, but of course something we all use all the time. Let’s see what else, well they are consumable. Humm..  there must be more here, well there is that 2X2 matrix compensation plan. Well I guess that’s about it.

So here are the basics on MPB Today

MPB Today stands for “My Premier Business Today”, and is headquartered in Pensacola, FL. Now the website (MPBToday.com) says they are affiliated with a grocery delivery company called Southeastern Delivery but in fact they seem to be the same company since both companies share the same address. Now according to the MPBToday.com website sales pitch, the grocery delivery business is a billion dollar industry today and is predicted to grow to 80+ billion in the next 5 to 10 years. Not quite sure about those numbers MPB Today quotes, but I guess that’s not really the point. The real issue is can the grocery delivery business which seems to be pretty much a local industry be developed into a national industry. I mean let’s face it, do you really want MPB Today to ship your fresh meat or dairy to you from Pensacola, FL if you live in Arizona? Probably not. So nationwide grocery delivery is pretty much going to be limited to canned or boxed products and when MPB Today tacks a shipping cost on top of that, it does not exactly lead to competitive pricing. Also what about the shipping time? I mean when I want something from the grocery store I kind of want it now, not next week. So what is the deal here? Now this is just my business opinion, but it looks like a very creative entrepreneur was struggling with the idea of how to move their grocery delivery business to the next level and go nationwide but ran smack into the wall of the business model limitations. Now adding a network marketing business plan to any business will of course will always get you an excited following at least in the early days, and that’s exactly what has happened. Plugging in the matrix comp plan was probably a necessity for MPB Today since you really had to make it lucrative enough to get people to adopt a product such as this and get excited about it.

MPB Today & The Matrix….

Now matrix compensation plans like MPB Today uses are not exactly new, they are actually offshoots of gambling games that go back to at least the late 1800’s. Now the gambling games of course had nothing to do with Network Marketing since in fact there was no product but they did pioneer the concept. Matrix compensation plans in the MLM world have also been around for quite a while but came back into vogue a few years ago when a fast moving travel MLM called TVI Express roared through the US market. They were quickly followed by a host of other companies also using Matrix compensation plans. Now people made some very big money in TVI Express before it moved on, I personally know people who made over $70,000 in less than 3 months and some who made over $250,000 in less than 6 months. Then it kind of died in the US market but is still making its rounds in various countries around the world.

The big appeal to the matrix compensation plans like MPB Today uses is of course the chance to make big money quick.

Another big draw is usually the concept of “Get Two” (personal recruits) and then sit back and watch the money flow in, and oh yes they generally have no autoship. Now I am not for or against this particular type of compensation plan, I am a big believer in free choice and that if you like a deal like MPB Today, go for it. However there are a few issues with this type of compensation plan you should be aware of. Number one is the free ride concept the Matrix comp plan promotes. It goes something like this, “Just get your two reps to qualify and you are done”. Then sit back and watch the money or in this case the MPB Today grocery coupons roll in and you have free groceries for life. Well I wish it were that easy, heck I would join, but if you have been in MLM before you know that’s probably not the whole truth. The truth is that the standard MLM business model (as opposed to Top Tier MLM companies like Family IQ or Wealth Masters), only works if you have duplication and the MPB Today compensation plan is no different. So if the two that you bring in to MPB Today don’t get their two and so on, you are going nowhere. You can be left with a stalled group, and if you want to get to the money you had better become a good recruiter because you are going to have to put everyone into the deal yourself. Also since MPB Today has no autoship, there is no continual flow to power residuals so it can turn out to be a much harder build to get to the money than a conventional MLM compensation plan. Bummer… There is of course no “Free Ride” in the MLM industry even with Matrix compensation plans. Now some positives about MPB Today. If you can get some good group dynamics going in MPB Today,  Matrix comp plans can throw off a huge amount of cash in a pretty short time as evidenced by some of the money made in TVI Express, and also with the top earners in MPB Today, and they do tend to have a pretty good mass appeal since they are such a radically different type of comp plan. Now personally MPB Today is not a deal that I would join but if you like what you see then go for it, just be aware that you are going to improve your chances dramatically if you can bring a lot of new recruits into MPB Today in a short period of time so the excitement level stays high. To insure your success in MPB Today, you better be prepared to bring 6 to 10 new reps into the business at a minimum each month. The best way to do that of course it to learn how to use online lead generation systems such as  My Lead System Pro to get you the lead flow that will power your growth.

Kaching-Kaching Review - Is That The Sound of Cash Registers I Hear?

Kaching-Kaching
Kaching-Kaching well it’s an interesting name I will give you that. Kaching Kaching kind of brings up a vision of a cash register ringing up a sale doesn’t it? Well that’s exactly the image Robert McNulty the CEO of Kaching-Kaching Inc wanted you to think of when he founded this company. Robert McNulty formally of Local Ad Link became an officer of Kaching Kaching Inc in April of 2010 and the launch of the company’s current business model was in late 2010. Now I say current business model since if you check out the company profile on Forbes it shows that Kaching-Kaching Inc. is a publically traded OTC company that was formed “for the purpose of acquiring certain mining claims from Premere Resources Corporation”. Humm… Now what does Online E commerce MLM have to do with mineral rights? I guess you will have to ask Robert McNulty that personally. My read on this is that he probably bought a shell corporation that was already public and then converted it to its present business plan. I am not sure which business model Kaching-Kaching Inc. was pursuing over the last 12 months but according to Forbes, they earned about $462,000 and had losses of about $5.3 million during that time. Well who knows but let’s take a look at what they are trying to do now. The world of opportunity in the Network Marketing industry knows no product bounds, and there is not even a limit on the number of do-over’s you can have, as evidenced by Kaching-Kaching’s product focus.

Kaching-Kaching & The E Commerce Business Model

Kaching Kaching is blasting headlong into the world of online E commerce with an MLM model, where hopeful distributors can own their own online shopping portal. Wow! Unique concept! Not really, I can’t even count or want to remember all the E commerce MLM business models I have seen over the last 10 years, there probably have been hundreds of MLM startups following this gravy train. Not to mention the fact that every MLM giant out here has also wedged they way into that business model as a way to generate additional profits form an existing distributor base. The big MLM guys like Amway (Quixtar), NuSkin (Big Planet), and others, all have e-commerce divisions. So we know this is a popular marketing concept to bring distributors into the fold, but the real question is can you actually make money doing it, and should you actually join Kaching-Kaching and bet your financial future on them?

So the basic business model with Kaching-Kaching is this

Once you sign up you will have your own online mall with a lot of name brand stores where you will have the ability to generate profits of 2% to 10% of your customers purchases based on what type of product they buy. You also will earn monthly binary commission bonuses on the monthly activity fees from people in your Kaching-Kaching downline, once you recruit and build a team. That may seem like a piece of cake,  but in today’s MLM market there are lots of new companies coming online every day, and many with some pretty exciting products so competition for distributors can be heavy. So trying to convince someone that an e commerce shopping deal is the path to financial freedom may not be as easy as it seems. In the overall scheme of things you will have to have a pretty large downline to really capitalize on the commissions on purchases and the only other source of revenue is the monthly fees distributors pay to be affiliated with Kaching-Kaching, but those are in the $20 to $99 per month range so that is not a huge potential revenue source either. The challenge of the internet mall has always been trying to change a consumers buying habits and getting them to go to a particular store through an online mall interface rather than just going directly to the store. Now it appears the way Kaching-Kaching plans to do this is to make it in a shopper’s best interest to go through the mall by getting them to sign up as a “shopper” under your distributorship and in doing so they get their own online mall interface with Kaching-Kaching for free. So now they are getting a rebate for shopping through their store (they get 50% of the total commission and you get the other 50%). Not a bad plan really. I would have to say this, I think Kaching-Kaching is an making an ambitious attempt in a highly competitive retail marketplace, but then the founder  Robert McNulty has done some pretty powerful online business models before. He was in fact the founder and CEO of Shopping.com from 1996 until it was sold to Compaq Computers in 1999 for $220 million. So obviously he has a lot of expertise in this area. Which brings us to the question of why go through the pain of having a publicly traded corporation? Now in the business world and especially the Dot-com world, that is the main way you make money. You start a company build up the business model, and then sell it to someone else for bundles of cash before you ever have to reach profitability. However Network Marketing companies can be fairly easy to get to profitability and once you do, they are virtual cash register that can throw off a huge cash flow. I mean why do you think that Warren Buffet bought two MLM companies recently? Because of this, very few MLM companies every go public in today’s market. Why would you want to give away a piece of your money machine? So there may be a bigger game at play here. With a public company, you can double dip into the greed well of your incoming distributors while they are in their excitement phase and they will probably jump at the chance to not only work the business but also to buy shares in the company. I mean it only makes sense. What better way to expose your stock to a huge group of people than though prospecting them to look at your MLM? From an owner’s point of view this is a killer combo, you have tons of distributors helping you build up a loyal customer base and then even if the MLM side does not work out you have a business asset that can be sold.

Now the real question is should you jump on the bandwagon with Kaching-Kaching and start building your downline?

Well this is not a deal that I would ever do, but that is because I prefer other MLM business models, but if you like what you see and are excited about the prospect of getting a piece of  a well set up e commerce business model, then Kaching-Kaching may be your deal. Just remember too many people treat MLM as a hobby and not a business. If you want to be successful, don’t leave your success to chance. Learn some basic marketing skills and draw up a realistic business plan that will give you access to enough leads to power your business on a daily basis. There are a lot of very good online marketing systems such as My Lead System Pro where you can learn some online marketing skills and approaches that you can then use to power your lead generation efforts in your businenss. Then Kaching-Kaching may become your favorite word!

Xowii Reivew – MonaVie Lawsuit, Evlov Merger, What’s Up With Xowii?

xowii review
Well Xowii has had a lot of action in its short life so far, so let me bring you up to date on what is happening with this hopeful in the world of Network Marketing. Xowii is a new MLM company that launched its operations in late 2009 and is headquartered in Costa Mesa, CA. Xowii did some very good launch promotions and got way ahead of the curve for a new MLM company, generating almost $15 million in sales in their first year and enrolling about 20,000 distributors. We are talking some Wow numbers here, that is very good production for a new network marketing company. Xowii is the brain child of co-founders Richard Kelly and James Christiansen and entered the market with a product line that targets what is projected to be a huge trillion dollar exploding health and nutrition market powered by the aging of the baby boom. Their product line XOWii Energy, XOWii Thin, and XOWii Ultimate all revolve around their key ingredient called “Coffee Fruit”. Now I am somewhat of a coffee aficionado, and I love my Starbucks but I have to confess I had never heard of Coffee Fruit? According to the Xowii website Coffee Fruit contains various polyphenols providing antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, energy-enhancing, immune-promoting and cell-protection properties. Wow I knew I liked coffee for some reason! Now for those of you not in the know (like me), coffee fruit is a cherry-like fruit that grows on tree, but the coffee you drink in the morning is the seed inside the “fruit”. I learn something new every day.

So Xowii took this miracle fruit that Starbucks totally missed and it was off the races.

Now one of the reasons for the aggressive growth is probably because Xowii developed a really aggressive Binary Compensation plan.  It’s actually one of the more inventive I have seen using this MLM business model.

Xowii Compensation Plan

In the Xowii Binary compensation plan you can receive income in several ways including a Fast Start Bonus, Binary Team Bonus of up to 12% on the lesser leg, Free Autoship Bonus, Executive Check Match, Rank Advancement Bonus, Car Bonus, Empowerment Bonus Pool, Leader Bonus Pool, and Diamond Run Bonus Pool. Whew, that a lot of bonuses! Now some of the really creative parts of this MLM compensation plan are that you can receive not only receive a Fast Start Bonus when you sign someone up, but when someone you have sponsored signs someone up you get an almost matching bonus and that also goes for your new 2nd level team members when they sponsor someone. Now generally a MLM Binary compensation plan offers this matching bonus (a form of the famous MLM Coded Bonus) or an Executive check match of some sort (like eXfuze or MonaVie)  but Xowii actually offers both. Another very creative part of their MLM binary compensation plan is the once you have 4 personally sponsored reps on autoship, your Xowii autoship is free. Now you mix that in with all the various bonus pools they also offer and you can see why I call this plan aggressive. Now before you get all excited and blaze a path to your nearest Xowii distributor to sign up there are a few things you need to know. With MLM Binary compensation pay plans, since you could in theory be paying multiple commissions a few thousand levels deep on the same leg, all companies who use this structure place a “Cap” on total commissions paid. Now generally these “Caps” are around 55% or so and it means that a company will never have to pay out more than 55% of its monthly revenues in commissions that month regardless of how many people are trying to tap the piggy bank. If the “Cap” is exceeded in a monthly pay cycle, then everyone’s checks get reduced by a certain percentage. I have seen some companies who did not plan their MLM compensation plan well sometimes pay out as little as 65% of what they should have paid out. Ouch! Look, trying to figure out how to pay compensation on multiple levels of production and give out the most possible gets pretty complicated and even if a company runs computer simulations there still can be some flaws that crop up later. Let’s face it a network marketing company has to have enough to pay its bills so the “Cap” structure works well for an MLM binary company. Enough on compensation plans, let’s talk about the interesting stuff now.

Xowii Lawsuit

Xowii recently was sued by MonaVie for apparently for trying to recruit distributors away from them? Now I am not sure why MonaVie figures they own those distributors but defending a major lawsuit even if it has no merit can be very expensive. So now fast forward to January of 2011 and suddenly Xowii announces that they are merging with a company called Evolv Health. Now there are many ways to spin this but as a matter of practice in the MLM industry, healthy growing network marketing companies do not merge with other companies. It is generally a sign that they are suffering financially or there are other problems. Now it could be the cash drain of a lawsuit or unhappy investors or who knows. The bottom line here is that overall it’s a good looking company but future prospects may be uncertain. Whether Xowii will end up continuing to run as a separate company or their distributor base will simply be merged into Evolv Heath remains to be seen.   xowii Ready to take your MLM business to the next level?
